Alpine Apple Granola
Ingredients
- 4 pouches Alpine® Original Spiced
Apple Cider Mix - 1/3 cup water
- 2 cups old-fashioned oats
- 1 cup slivered almonds
- 1 cup raisins or mixed dried fruit, chopped
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon cinnamon
Directions
Preheat oven to 350°F. In measuring cup, stir together cider mix and water. Set aside. In medium bowl, stir together oats, almonds, raisins or dried fruit, brown sugar and cinnamon. Pour cider mixture over oat mixture and stir until blended. Spread onto a lightly greased baking sheet. Bake 20-25 minutes. Cool completely. Store in an airtight container at room temperature.
Makes 4 cups.
Variations
Tropical Fruit & Nut Granola: Prepare cider mix and water as directed for apple cider granola. In medium bowl, stir together 2 cups pecans, 1 cup macadamia nuts, 1 cup dried pineapple, 1 cup sweetened flaked coconut and 2 tablespoons brown sugar. Pour cider mixture over nuts and fruit and stir until blended. Bake as directed for apple cider granola.
Makes 5 cups.
Sunshine Fruit & Nut Granola: Prepare cider mix and water as directed for apple cider granola. In medium bowl, stir together 1 cup whole almonds, 1 cup walnuts, 1 cup pecans, 1 cup sunflower seeds, 1 cup old fashioned oats, 1 cup chopped, dried apricots, 1 cup golden raisins, 2 tablespoons brown sugar and 1 teaspoon cinnamon. Pour cider mixture over nuts and fruit and stir until blended. Bake as directed for apple cider granola.
