Sugar & Spice Apple Muffins


  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 pouches Alpine® Original Spiced
    Apple Cider Mix
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 egg
  • 1 medium apple, peeled and finely chopped
  • Topping

  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) butter, melted

Preheat oven to 400°F. In medium bowl, stir together flour, sugar, Alpine® Original Spiced Apple Cider Mix, baking powder and salt until blended. Add milk, oil and egg. Stir until moistened. Fold in chopped apples. Spoon batter into greased or paper-lined muffin cups, filling 2/3 full. Bake 16-18 minutes or until golden brown.


In small bowl, stir together sugar and cinnamon until blended. While muffins are warm from the oven, dip top of each muffin in melted butter followed by cinnamon and sugar mixture. Serve warm.

Makes 10-12 servings.
